“Remember Me”
This poem was written by Drew Lohr, Josh’s cousin, the night after he learned of Josh’s death in Afghanistan. The poem was transposed over a photo of Josh taken while he was walking through the snow covered mountains of Afghanistan. In January 2009, a framed copy of this piece was personally presented by the Harris Family to President George W. Bush the day before his farewell address to the Nation. The father of twins himself, President Bush was deeply moved and said the gift is a cherished treasure.
