8th Annual Patriot Day Luncheon Sunday, September 11, 2022
Since this event fell on a Sunday we also welcomed guys to the luncheon. As in previous years, the Fernandina Beach Golf Club was the perfect venue. The speaker, at this sold out event, was Captain Patrick Toohey, USN SEAL (RET).
Captain (Ret) Toohey enlisted in the Navy in November and graduated BUD/S, Class 49, in August 1970 at Little Creek Amphibious Base, VA. He served as an enlisted operator until he was commissioned as a SEAL Officer through Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI, in September 1978. Captain Toohey retired from active duty, with thirty-plus years of honorable service, on September 01, 2001.
