Stronger Together.
Building Battle Buddies is about more than pairing a Veteran or First Responder with a service dog. It is about creating lasting relationships built on trust, shared experience, camaraderie, and purpose—between participants, their Battle Buddies, and the community surrounding them.
A Bond Built Through Experience
Throughout the immersive 21-day training program, participants spend each day learning, training, and overcoming challenges alongside their dogs. Those shared experiences create a connection that extends far beyond traditional obedience or service dog training.
Every command learned, challenge overcome, and milestone reached strengthens the trust between the participant and their Battle Buddy, creating a partnership designed to continue long after graduation.
Fellowship That Matters
Veterans and First Responders often share experiences that can be difficult for others to fully understand. Building Battle Buddies brings participants together in an environment where they can train alongside others with similar backgrounds and experiences.
That fellowship creates opportunities for camaraderie, encouragement, teamwork, and lasting friendships. Participants arrive with different stories, but they share a common mission and become part of a community that understands the importance of standing together.
A Lifelong Partnership
The relationship between a participant and their Battle Buddy does not end when the 21-day program is complete. Graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter—one built around companionship, confidence, independence, and mutual trust.
The result is more than a service dog team. It is a bond forged through training, strengthened through fellowship, and carried forward into everyday life.
Together, they become Battle Buddies for life.
